Abstract:

Traumatic grief differs from normal grief and complicated grief in that there are components of both PTSD and prolonged grieving. Although it is not a diagnosis in the DSM-5, you will probably see it in your psychotherapy practice. This presentation covers identification, risk factors, comorbid conditions, and treatment options, and multicultural considerations.
