This 10-month Post-Doctoral Residency at Loyola Marymount University's Student Psychological Services (SPS) offers 1500 hours of supervised professional experience, meeting California's licensure requirements. SPS provides a supportive environment for Residents to refine clinical, administrative, and consultative skills. Residents will evaluate, treat, and refer students, working with a diverse clientele presenting issues like adjustment difficulties, relationship concerns, major affective disorders, eating disorders, and anxiety disorders. The clinical caseload is 16-20 hours per week, including intake/assessment, crisis management, and individual and group psychotherapy. Additional hours are spent in supervision, outreach, case consultation, seminars, and documentation. Qualifications include a Doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program, completion of a pre-doctoral internship meeting APPIC standards, and preferred counseling experience in a university setting.
