LACPA strives to have Board members reflective of the diversity of the Los Angeles psychological community. Toward that end, NEAC works to fill positions on the Board of Directors consistent with that goal. In addition, NEAC strives to honor members of the Los Angeles psychological community for service and accomplishments in the field. Each year, a committee is assembled, chaired by the Past President, and including the President-Elect and at least one other board member.  The committee solicits nominations for awards to be given at the annual convention. They also solicit nominations and search for individuals to fill roles as members and officers of the Board of Directors. They follow up with specific tasks associated with each of these activities.

Nominations for 2026 LACPA Board of Directors
For the term beginning January 1, 2026, need to be submitted by September 1, 2025. 

The LACPA Nominations, Elections, and Awards Committee (NEAC) is seeking nominees for Board of Directors vacancies for the term beginning January 1, 2026. Elections will be held in November 2025.  
 
LACPA strives to have Board members who reflect the diversity of the Los Angeles psychological community. Our goal is to assemble a committed group of leaders to guide LACPA in the coming year.  
 
Nominations are being accepted for the following Board positions:
President-Elect, Treasurer-Elect and Secretary-Elect (serve three-year terms on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee). 
 
General Board Members (serve one-year terms in various leadership roles on the Board of Directors and as committee chairs).
 
If you would like to serve on the LACPA Board of Directors or are just interested in getting involved in LACPA leadership, you are invited to recommend yourself to the NEAC. Members may also nominate their colleagues to serve on the Board.
