Student Leadership Committee
Delly Loro, M.A. is a bilingual Bolivian-Cuban student in the PsyD Clinical Psychology Program at The Chicago School. She has been involved in research to norm neuropsychological assessments for monolingual Spanish-speaking individuals. Her work is driven by a strong interest in neuropsychological assessments, the development of normative data, and understanding the role of bilingualism in brain functioning. She has also co-facilitated an LGBTQ+ process group, fostering inclusive and affirming spaces for clients. Through several volunteer and practicum placements, Delly has gained clinical experience, in assessments and therapy. Dedicated to supporting clients through evidence-based and culturally sensitive practices, she is passionate about advancing research and clinical approaches that bridge cultural and linguistic differences, ensuring equitable access to care.
Jacqueline Baca Miller, M.S. is a doctoral student at California Lutheran University, specializing in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She is passionate about working with low-income, minority communities where she can participate in providing therapy interventions and assessments in an equitable, culturally considerate, and compassionate way. Her previous clinical training at Ventura County Medical Center provided her with experience in crisis intervention, collaborating on a multidisciplinary care team of professionals, and treating patients across the lifespan within an integrated, primary healthcare setting. Jackie currently serves as a therapist at the Homeless Patient Aligned Care Team at the VA Sepulveda.
Ryan O’Donnell, B.S. is a doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology Psy.D. program at The Chicago School, Los Angeles. He is dedicated to preventing and reducing the harmful effects of child maltreatment by striving to support the well-being of both children and the adults in their lives. He was trained in Dr. Gregory Hanley’s Skills-Based Treatment, a trauma-assumed, compassionate approach to crisis behaviors in children and adults with autism. This experience in Applied Behavior Analysis has inspired him to explore integrations with psychotherapy to enhance treatment outcomes for a variety of neurodiverse populations.
Mission Statement: LACPA’s Student Leadership Committee is dedicated to providing student members with opportunities for professional growth via student-focused events and networking opportunities. The Student Committee is led by our Student Liaisons who represent student interests on the LACPA Board of Directors. The LACPA Student Leadership Committee is dedicated to sponsoring student-centered events that take a "for us--by us approach." Navigating the twists and turns of higher education is not easy, and we are here to help offer a flashlight or two when and where we can.
