Statement of Purpose and Description of SIG
Running a psychology practice involves managing both clinical and business aspects. This Special Interest Group is intended to provide members of LACPA with the opportunity to learn about the numerous facets of running a psychology practice. In addition to being provided with information about specific procedural aspects of a psychology practice, this Special Interest Group will also provide participants with the opportunity to share lessons they have learned from their own experiences. Specialists will be invited to speak on a wide range of topics. This group will focus on topics such as business management, ethical considerations, marketing strategies, billing and insurance processes, legal compliance, and integrating technology into practice. This SIG will also explore specializations and clinical concerns.
