Los Angeles County Psychological Association

Founded in 1945 and incorporated in 1962, LACPA is a chapter of the California Psychological Association (CPA), a state association of the American Psychological Association (APA). With over 150,000 members, APA represents psychologists in the United States and Canada.  LACPA has adopted the ethical standards and guidelines for professional practice of the APA.  LACPA is a 501 c (6).

 

Mission Statement of the Los Angeles County Psychological Association

 

·   Advance the science and profession of psychology in Los Angeles County

·   Encourage participation of psychologists in the application of psychological knowledge for the
     betterment of the community      

·   Provide opportunity for the exchange of ideas and information about members of the profession

·   Promote the improvement of qualifications of psychologists through high standards of educational
     achievement, professional ethics and conduct, and the application of research findings
